Sizzle Creations is owned and operated by Shaun van der Veen. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Digital Media in 2002. Since then, Shaun has been involved in the film and digital media world. He has traveled and worked all over the United States including Vail Colorado, San Francisco California, coastal Oregon, New England and now resides in South Lake Tahoe. Shaun has a variety of experience filming and editing weddings, adventure sports videos, television commercials, website videos, special occasion videos, corporate event videos, and catalog shoots. His work has been seen on CNN, Comcast network stations, Braaap Films and Santa Cruz Community Public Television. Shaun has also had extensive experience working with web development and graphic design. His work includes the design of wine labels for the Red Hat Society and promotional flyers as seen in Men’s Soccer Magazine.
Shaun specializes in adventure videos and has additional certifications that enhance his ability to provide excellent service. This includes a Level 1 Avalanche Safety certification, CPR and First Aid certifications and completion of the Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide School. Shaun also participates in outdoor activities including snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, ice climbing, rock climbing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, rafting, etc…
Shaun is now a member of the American Guild of Court Videographers. He provides legal video services through his company Nevada Legal Video, including deposition videos, mitigating videos, pre-construction videos, crime scene videos, day-in-the-life videos and much more
